Richard Hellsing is a minor antagonist of the Hellsing series and is Sir Integra's uncle. For several years, Richard waited for his brother, Arthur, to die so he can take control of their families organization. But when Arthur hand over the organization to his daughter, Integra, Richard did not take this news lightly. Out of anger, he choose to murder his niece so he can take his place as leader of the Hellsing organization.

He is voiced by Steve Brand in the English dub and Yosuke Akimoto in the Japanese dub.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• After Arthur Hellsing's death with his daughter, Integra, becoming leader of the Hellsing organization, Richard decided to take action by attempting to kill her.
• He argued that he waited twenty years for his brother to die so he can become the leader of the organization. This not only suggest that he has a low opinion on Arthur but also displays his arrogance.
• Richard shows no sympathy towards his niece and was willing to kill her with no regrets while constantly grinning when attempting to do the action. He never refers to her by her own name and keeps calling her fraulein for no reason other than to mock her.
• The fact he was never aware of Alucard and his existence as a weapon for the organization suggest that he was not a trusted member in the family with the idea of Arthur being aware of his brother's behavior.
• His death is well deserved as he arrogantly thought he would get away with child murder while showing his cowardly nature when Alucard killed his bodyguards with ease.
