Looks like Redd White has blackmailed this character with information that they are not a hate sink! The information reads: Just like the skar king and void kong, despite their hatable qualities, the writers still CLEARLY intended robogog to be a very compelling antagonist. Plus, he has minor complexity. Everyone around him didn't treat him better. Sure it may not excuse his actions but it still slightly holds up Please discuss it on the talk page here. |
| “ | There is no greater power than ruling through fear. | „ |
| ~ Robogog's Ideological View. |
| “ | Good day to you, you inferior lifeform, humanity. I am the emperor of the Matrintis Empire. I am Robogog of the 10-sai. The day after tomorrow, your pointless world will be ruled by our Matrintis Empire. Are you listening, Gosei Angels? I declare here and now that tomorrow morning, an all out attack will occur. Enjoy waiting in fear. | „ |
| ~ Robogog's announcement to the World. |
Robogog of the 10-sai (Japanese: 10サイのロボゴーグ) was one of the major antagonists in 2010 Live-Action Tokusatsu TV-Series Tensou Sentai Goseiger. He was the ruler of the Matrintis Empire, an Imperialistic Army of Killer Robots & Modified Being in the Cosmos seeks to conquer the world, as well as master of Metal Alice and formerly, Buredo-RUN. He was one of the most dangerous enemies Gosei Angels have ever faced. Of all Buredoran's "Allies", Robogog was very much unpleasant person in contrast to Makuin of the Blob, Kinggon of the Bigfoot, and Great King Mons Drake of the Planet.
He's voiced by Jūrōta Kosugi.
What Makes Him a Hate-Sink?[]
- Originally a human scientist who built an immortal robot body and was rejected by other peers because of unethical methods of roboticization. When the cataclysm strikes, the said scientist, who goes by a moniker Robogog, abandons them to perish out of spite & hatred.
- After forming the Matrintis Empire, he's a very much abusive and control freak tyrant who views that Fear Conquers All, while claiming to be a stickler for punctuality. He gave them a cruel punishment by stomping his matroid subordinates, tortures them via electricity, and verbally calls them "Low-Spec Trash" for every single mistake they made, even though they're faulty creations. Not even Metal Alice, his (once) valuable asset, was spared from Robogog's cruel treatment by being subjected to Punishment Bomb.
- During Buredoran's Cyberization into Buredo-RUN, Robogog instructs Metal Alice to wipe his memories in order to make sure his loyalty towards him is permanent.
- He knows that Buredoran/Brajira has an infamous reputation for manipulating and backstabbing the series' previous antagonistic forces, Warstar & Yūmajū. However, being abusive towards Metal Alice only hastens his downfall as she installed Buredoran's memories after being fed up with Robogog's constant abuse.
- In his mission to take over the World, he seeks to conquer the humankind and enslave them with Fear. One of his plans include building prison camps for them and converting them into the Cyborg soldiers.
- He used Buredo-RUN's ability to seal the Tensouders & Leon Cellars just so he can finish the Goseigers & Gosei Knight off with Calamity Destruction Attack. He doesn't give every single damn about collateral damage it causes.
- He taunts the Goseigers that they'll be roboticized in the Prison Camps later once he had finished them.
- He ordered Buredo-RUN to have Goseigers & Gosei Knight finished by Suicide Bomb attack but Metal Alice volunters to do his orders instead. After Metal Alice's failed suicide bombing attack to the Goseigers, the Goseigers criticizes Robogog's tyranny as he treats his subordinate as a pawn. In response, Robogog pins the blame to the Goseigers and views Metal Alice indifferent than any other "Low-Spec Trashes".
- When Alata/Gosei Red asks him to stop and offers Robogog a chance of redemption, he laughs off for his humanity as a "weakness" & opts to self-destruct attack out of Misanthropic Hatred.
- After being reduced into a head, Robogog ends up getting betrayed by his subordinate Buredo-RUN with the help of Metal Alice, after being fed up with Robogog's constant abusive treatment, who have restored Buredoran's memories. As Brajira points out, Robogog ideology was Fear Conquers All, but he's a paranoiac control freak, pointing his hypocrisy before Brajira destroys him, alongside Metal Alice who have aided him against Robogog.
- Unlike his subordinate Metal Alice, Robogog's death at the hands of Buredoran/Brajira is very much cathartic & played for Karma. While Goseigers were taken aback because of Buredoran's brutality rather than sympathizing Robogog.
- He returns as one of the Vengeful Spirits to stop Brajira's plan within Nega End before being cast away. While Makuin, Kinggon, and Mons Drake's reason were understandable considering they're Brajira's unwitting Pawns. Robogog's reason was only for personal revenge for his humiliation by Brajira as He remains unrepentant to his crimes.
- Despite his death, He's mysteriously revived in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Space Sheriff Gavan and was sent into a Makuu Space Prison by the Gaoler Ashurada, along with Kinggon of the Bigfoot, to fight the Gokaigers & Space Sherrif Gavan. He presumably was killed within the destruction of Makuu Space Prison by GokaiGalleon Buster.
- Overall he has very very few evil is cool moments and is portrayed as nothing but a ruthless and petty scumbag.
Trivia[]
- His Power Rangers Megaforce counterpart, The Messenger, while being a machine to begin with, was much nicer in comparison as he treats his subordinates (Including Metal Alice) benevolently. Thus, his Power Rangers counterpart doesn't qualify as a hate-sink.
- He's named after a movie franchise Robocop.
