Roger is an unseen antagonist of the Planet of the Apes franchise. He was Koba's former trainer after his original trainer left.
What makes him Hated?[]
- Generally being a impulsive, arrogant, disrespectful, and short-tempered alcoholic bully.
- Anytime he gets drunk and starts abusing Koba, he shifts the blame to Koba for being a "dumb animal"
- Unlike Mary (who is caring, respectful, and loving towards Koba and his mother), he constantly disciplines him for the pettiest reasons such as "disobeying" him.
- He came in armed with a sack of oranges and hit Koba after he tried to back away.
- After Koba's mother came to Koba's side by biting Roger's arm, Roger proceeded to beat Koba's mother to death right in front of Koba before calling them both stupid animals, which traumatised him permanently and giving him PTSD.
- Though he never appears again, his actions lead to Koba's misanthrophy and descent into villainy.
- Even after all of this, he receives no punishment except for the facility's cut in funding, making him a Karma Houdini.
