Seon-nyeo is a supporting antagonist in Season 2 of the Korean series, Squid Game. Supposedly a shaman by profession, she ended up losing a lot of money for unknown reasons and ended up in the Squid Games.

She was portrayed by Chae Kook-hee.

What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]

  • She greeted Gi-hun with a terrifying smile which unnerved him.
  • Despite 91 players dying in "Red Light, Green Light", she voted to continue the games every single round.
  • Despite no one consulting her, she always speaks about she is superior to others due to her being a shaman, thus making others wary of her.
  • When taking an unnecessarily long time to vote, she screamed at a player who told her to hurry up.
  • She is a massive liability to her team consisting of Hyun-ju, Geum-ja, Yong-sik and Young-Mi during the Six-Legged Pentathlon, holding them back for no real reason and constantly risking their lives as well as her own.
    • As a result, she blamed them for ditching her during the Mingle Game, which they only did to save themselves.
  • When Hyun-ju saved her in Mingle, she arrogantly took credit for "saving" everyone's lives.
  • When her teammates were mourning Young-mi's death ater Mingle, she revealed she cursed her teammates out of spite and terrified them about their supposed deaths in the future.
  • She convinces Player 006 to continue the games, which resulted in her being a crucial voter despite the players around them rapidly dying off. This led to the vote being a tie and a bloodbath occurring as a result, making her indirectly responsible for all the deaths in the last two episodes.
