~ Unella demanding a confession from Cersei. |
Septa Unella is a minor antagonist in the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series and a supporting antagonist in its television adaptation, Game of Thrones. She is a high-ranking septa of the Faith of the Seven in service at the Great Sept of Baelor. She might be a member of the Most Devout.
She was portrayed by Hannah Waddingham.
What makes her Hated?[]
- She is one of the cruelest septas seen on the show and seems to really enjoy torturing her prisoners.
- In some cases it seems that even the Supreme Sparrow, who ordered her to supervise the prisoners, was shocked by her "strong hand".
- She captures and tortures Cersei for a long time while locked in a cell, asks her to confess and hits her head with a vessel when she refuses, also refuses to let her drink.
- She led Cersei's parade of shame as she undresses her and shouts behind her: "Shame, shame, shame." Even though Cersei was definitely a cruel villain it was still too much and Unla enjoyed hurting her.
- She also hurt the imprisoned Loras and Margaery Tyrell and almost led a return march for Margaery.
- Although Her defeat was very cruel, as Cersei trapped her in a cell, poured wine on her and let the Zombified Gregor Clegane torture her for days, presumably until she died. However she deserved her for her actions as she herself tortured Cercei.
