Shaw is a major antagonist of a pokemon fanfic, Pokémon Forever Wishes.

He is a traveling trainer who helps Hilbert, Iris and Cilan during their journeys, seemingly normal yet nervous person, however it's revealed he is Nate former best friend who betrayed him for Team Plasma, leaving him to be killed by Kyreum, also tries to prevent Hilbert from knowing about his true self.

He is Nate's/Hilbert's former best friend.

What makes him a Hate Sink?

• Before the events of the fanfic, it's revealed he betrayed Nate for Team Plasma, leaving him to die alone and be killed by Kyreum, thus responsible for most of the events in the story.
• Knowing Nate will be reincarnated in a new body, he plans on to prevent them from knowing their true self.
• Even before revealing their true colors, they're shown to be completely arrogant about themselves, especially during pokemon battles.
• When Team Plasma ambush the gang, he cowardly runs away, leaving the three out to die.
• He allows Team Plasma to outright torture Victini and Melotta, in front of Hilbert, while pretending to plead to them to stop.
• When showing his true colors to Hilbert, he purposely blames him for his own death, despite him being the one who left Nate to die.
• He outright shoves Iris into Kyreum and running away, leaving her to die alone before Victini saves her.
• Threatened to kill Melotta and Victini in front of Hilbert if he doesn't give him the mirror that will destory Unova, holding them hostage.
• Cowardly begs Hilbert for mercy, despite the latter forgiving him, he later tries to push him off the cliff in attempt to kill him, only getting himself killed while Hilbert gets saved by Virizion.
• Overall, he is shown to be one of the most hated pokemon trainers for his cowardice and leaving Nate out to die alone.
