Shio and Asahi's Father

Shio and Asahi's father is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside his own father) of Happy Sugar Life. He was the abusive father of Shio and Asahi and the abusive husband of Yūna.

What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]

When he was a teenager, raped Yuuna for simply bumping into him, causing her to be pregnant with Asahi.
After getting married, Kōbe proceeded to rape and abuse Yūna for multiple years, eventually leading to Yūna getting pregnant with Shio.
Showed no sadness over the death of his own father (though understandably so for forcing him into a marriage) and Yūna's parents, only celebrating over getting an inheritance, in which he blew off in alcohol and drugs.
Regularly abused Asahi for years, even ripping his finger nails off once.
While he comes from an unloving household, as mentioned and implied several times, this does not remotely excuse his actions.
Unlike the main villains in Happy Sugar Life (with the exception of the manager), Kōbe has no redeeming qualities or elements of coolness or (true) complexity, and is just shown to be a completely irredeemable Hate Sink.
