Shio and Asahi’s Grandfather is one of the overarching antagonists of Happy Sugar Life. He is the father of the man who would become the father of Asahi and Shio Kobe. Despite his only appearance in a flashback, his actions would help kickstart the series, forcing his son and Yuuna together.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- Showed little care that his son Raped Yuuna, only caring about his reputation.
- Was said to be an unloving father, being partially responsible for his son becoming a monster who he is.
- After Yuuna’s rape, he manipulated and pressured her parents into agreeing to not press charges and marry the two off, subtly threatening to have Yuuna’s father lose his job and reputation, as well as leave them poor in order for Yuuna to agree.
- While he appears only once, his actions would lead to Asahi and Kobe’s abuse at the hands of his son and, his own son becoming an abusive scumbag.
