Sidney "Sid" Sivana is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Mr. Sivana) of the 2019 superhero film Shazam!. He is the son of Mr. Sivana, and the brother of Thaddeus Sivana.
He is portrayed by Wayne Ward as an adult and by Landon Doak as a child.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- He is portrayed as a very mean, sadistic, egotistical, selfish, rude and abusive brother to Thaddeus and a main reason for Thaddeus' descent to villainy.
- While Thaddeus is often abused, Sid is favored by their father and even allowed to have a high ranking position in Sivana Industries.
- He is implied to have not treated his brother well, introduced in the film as bullying him relentlessly.
- He takes away Thaddeus's Magic 8-Ball, hitting him when he tries to get it back and then using the toy to make fun of him.
- When a grown-up Thaddeus, who still feels resentful towards his father and brother for the abuse they inflicted on him during his childhood, crashes a Sivana Industries board meeting, Sid confronts him and threatens to throw him out the window.
- His fate of being thrown out the window to his death by Thaddeus is played for karma and satisfaction, as he deserved this for bullying and belittling his younger brother for his whole life.
- It is not known if he did anything illegal while running Sivana Industries, but even if he didn't, it doesn't make him any likable whatsoever because of what he did to Thaddeus.
