Simon Stagg is a villain in the DC Animated Universe. He was voiced by the late Earl Boen.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- He has his lackey Cole smuggle illegal compounds in a train, then insults him when he fails the task even though it was due to circumstances outside his control.
- As a result of the smuggling, the compounds almost cause the train to crash. However, he does not care about the deaths he could have caused.
- He is shown to be possessive of his daughter Sapphire. When he realizes Rex Powers has become her boyfriend (and was getting too close to finding out about his illegal activities), he decides to transform him into Metamorpho.
- Metamorpho is driven temporarily insane when he figures out what happened to him. Additionally, he decides to take advantage of the situation by showing him of incriminating photos of Green Lantern with Sapphire, causing Metamorpho to turn on the former.
- When Rex finds out the truth, Simon Stagg plans to have him be killed.
- His transformation into a slime monster is considered to be karmic. Additionally, he decides to kidnap Sapphire while in this state.
