Soldier 005 and Soldier 007 are supporting antagonists in Season 2 of the South Korean Netflix drama series Squid Game. They are a pair of Masked Soldiers who work for the organ trafficking ring run by the Masked Officer.

Soldier 005 is portrayed by Jang Jae-ho and Soldier 007 is portrayed by Shin Joo-hwan.

What Makes Them Hate Sinks?[]

  • They were involved in an organ trafficking conspiracy that harvested the organs of deceased players to sell on the black market for profit.
  • They killed numerous players for losing the games, making sure to avoid their vitals so their organs would be fresh upon being acquired. Their methods would cause their victims to die slowly and painfully, influencing their fellow guard Kang No-eul to mercy-kill her victims to spare the dying players of their suffering.
  • When they were unable to salvage their victims' organs due to to No-eul killing them, they stormed into her room to get their revenge, removing her mask before making lustful remarks towards her appearance.
  • When No-eul threatened to report them, they had no fear towards being punished, with 007 taunting that the Masked Officer wouldn't be able to protect her for long.
  • Just as No-eul unsuccessfully attempted to fight back against them, 007 restrained her while 005 sadistically cut her face with his knife (leaving a permanent scar) before threatening to cut off her finger so she wouldn't be able to fire her gun anymore.
  • As the pair prepared to leave, 005 threatened to rape No-eul if she interfered again, as well as cutting off all of her fingers and throwing them into the incinerator. With No-eul still restrained, he kissed her on the mouth without her consent.
  • They both lack any redeeming qualities, showing no remorse for their vile actions and exemplifying the corruption within the Masked Guards' circle, to the point that No-eul, despite her cruel methods, is portrayed as the lesser of two evils compared to them.
