Sprout Cloverleaf is one of the main antagonists of the Reaperverse of My Little Pony: A New Generation.
He, alongside his former friend Hitch Trailblazer, served as the sheriff of Maretime Bay, serving and protecting the residents, but also keeping away both unicorns and pegasi from entering the city. He is also the son of Phyllis Cloverleaf, who is the founder of Canterlogic in Maretime Bay and the former childhood friend turned enemy of both Sunny Starscout and Hitch Trailblazer.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- At a young age, he willingly agreed to help Queen Haven and Offengun in their genocide of all alien races in Equestria in exchange for the opportunity to gain half of all Equestria to rule as a reward, receiving the secret Canterlogic Directorate from them and producing an army of Cyber Warriors there, disguising the factory as a company producing fashion gadgets and personal protective equipment for the citizens of Maretime Bay.
- While he never betrayed either Haven or Offengun from the beginning to the end, in practice he was merely a basic subordination to their will out of fear and a selfish desire to gain the opportunity to rule half of Equestria from them, as he showed no emotion at all when he saw Offengun's death at Lincoln's hands.
- With the help of Canterlogic, he secretly spread propaganda of paranoia, xenophobia, and mistrust towards the other races of Equestria to the population of Maretime Bay in order to completely control and manipulate them for his own selfish gain.
- It is worth noting that unlike his original counterpart, who, like the entire population of Maretime Bay, was genuinely under the widespread propaganda of paranoia, xenophobia, and mistrust towards the other races of Equestria, this version of Sprout was fully aware of the true cause of the discord between all the races of Equestria and was fully willing to exploit the current situation in order to thereby gain the power he so desired over everyone, while being completely uninterested in the interests or well-being of his own people.
- It is implied that he has been secretly eliminating anyone who could potentially expose his or the Queen Haven's case for many years.
- Ordered his Cyber Warriors to dismantle Chain-Gun and Airbolt for spare parts for Spratratus Maximus/Equestricrusher.
- When he realized that the population of Maretime Bay had learned enough of the truth regarding his actions and those of Queen Haven and OffengUn, he ordered his Cyber Warriors to kill the entire population of Maretime Bay, seeing no practical benefit in keeping them alive for his future rule of Equestria.
- He personally killed his mother Phyllis Cloverleaf by crushing her under Equestricrusher's foot when she confronted him about betraying her race, sadistically and angrily telling her that her love for him was nothing but irritating.
- While he shares some of the same comedic timing as his original counterpart, it was all just part of his facade that he used to avoid drawing any suspicion from the populace of Maretime Bay, as by the time the final act took place, he had completely lost all of his comedic timing and everything he did was taken completely seriously.
