Stevie is a minor antagonist of the 2019 direct-to-video horror comedy film The Banana Splits Movie, based on the 1968-1970 children's television series of the same name.
Stevie was a co-worker who worked as part of The Banana Splits Show whom actually hates working with the gang, only wanting the spotlight for himself.
He was portrayed by Richard White.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink[]
- When inside the show in front of the kids he appears to look friendly at first. However, whenever he is not in the public, he is an arrogant, rude, lazy, smug snake who only thinks and cares about himself only having himself being in the spotlight for the show and is not very responsible, as shown as he is dressed up inappropriately when off-set, as well as constanly getting himself drunk and sexually harassing his hostess Paige. He also refers to The Banana Splits crew as "puppets" and says that they should be waiting for him, showing that he doesn't care for his crew and only sees him for his own personal benefit.
- While it is shown to feel under-appreciated due to not being given autographs or network interview with him, he never actually makes an effort to his own job and does not excuse his disrespectful behavior and actions to his crew off-set. Not to mention that he was willing to rub the cancellation of the show to Bingo, Fleegle, Drooper and Snorkie, showing that he has no care for his other castmates and is only in it for himself.
- After Andy has decided to cancel the Banana Splits Movie and was planning to decommissioned the animatronics, this was later revealed not to be the case as Stevie does a smug grin, being happy that he would plan to replace the animatronics and have his show all to himself.
- However, he would ask why won't Drooper spin it, while telling Drooper that it'll "might be the last time that [he'll] ever [does]" spin it with smug grin on his face, showing his darker side in which his crew does not notice at all.
- Right after the show has been finished and the guest who has stars on their tickets to check out the backstage tour, as well as Stevie and The Banana Splits gang being in another room, Stevie would smugly tell his crew that their show has been cancelled, telling them that he hated every minute working with all of them, going as far as to mock them by saying that they will be destroyed and rubbing it in their faces. When Drooper goes to the backroom with Stevies, he would rudly tell Drooper to get the hell out of his room, before spitting his alcoholic drink at Drooper's face before muttering "goddamn robots". This shows how disrespectful that he is to his own crew.
- After all the disrespect Stevie did with his gang, he gets his satisfying and well-deserved comeuppance when Drooper the Lion murders him by shoving a giant lollipop down his throat, suffocating him to death before later having his body immolated.
