“ | Tepexpan: Well, I think it's pretty obvious. Clearly, the team sent to fight the Abyss didn't win after all. Think about it! The Ode rekindles all victors — we've witnessed it countless times. Tamuin: Since the Archon couldn't find Kachina in the Night Kingdom, that must mean there's more to this "victory" than meets the eye. Paimon: Hey! You just haven't gotten over the fact that Kachina beat you in the Pilgrimage! Kinich: Pathetic, the both of you... Chasca: Your wild guesses are misplaced. We completed our mission. Tepexpan: Maybe YOU did, but who's to say whether that little girl even contributed at all? Maybe she got scared and ran off... |

~ Tepexpan and Tamuin spreading slander about Kachina's "cowardice", A Decision (Natlan Archon Quest) |
Tamuin and Tepexpan are supporting antagonists in Genshin Impact in the Archon Quest Chapter V: Incandescent Ode of Resurrection. They were a pair of pilgrimage competitors who bear grudge against Kachina after they were beaten by her early in the Pilgrimage competition. Tepexpan and Tamuin were from Masters of the Night-Wind and Scions of the Canopy respectively. Their fates were unknown after the events of the Archon Quest.
What Makes Them Hate Sink? []
- When Kachina knocks these two contestants in a match, they bear a grudge against her, accusing her of cheating, and would threaten Kachina in a fight where rules never apply to them. Even if they know Kachina can fight back, the two wanted to beat her up out of anger.
- When Kachina fell in the battle against The Abyss and is unable to be revived due to her Ancient Name being lost, Tepexpan and Tamuin returns to yell loudly and baselessly accusing her "cowardice", spreading slander out of spite. In other words, they spoke ill to the dead child.
- They're bragging themselves about how they should have won the Pilgrimage. But when Mavuika, a Pyro Archon calls the two out of their arrogance, they back down in fear of her. The fact that they accuse Kachina of being a "coward" earlier shows them being hypocrites whose bark were worse than bite.
- Like Uther did to Chiori in Fontaine, Tepexpan and Tamuin were nothing but spiteful bullies who would resort to slandering someone they hate.
Trivia[]
- Tepexpan and Tamuin were both named after Mexican cities and towns that contain Archaeological Sites.
