Adi, better known as Teddy, is the secondary antagonist of The Guy Upstairs webcomic.
He is a popular student and president of Film and Animation club at Teja Private University later revealed to be a serial rapist who targets pony-tailed women, trying to get Hawa throughout the story.
What Makes Him Hate Sink?[]
- He is a spoiled brat from birth who would use his parents to let him get whatever he wants and cover up his naughty behaviour. So he could bully other children. Later, he uses their spoiling nature to treat them as accomplices and speak out against any girl he rapes. He never displays any affection for them whatsoever and insults them when they are not on his side, remaining ungrateful for all of their help.
- His insecurity and being born with a weak physical condition is completely invalid for his actions. He uses it as an excuse to manipulate others like his parents to sympathize with him and even then is never shown to be affected or traumatized by his past.
- Stemming from his parents spoiling him, he has a massive ego and believes he is entitled to control everything, have every gift and do whatever he wants.
- He is a deviant who starting from undressing a doll as a child, has developed a desire to rape any beautiful woman he sees. Starting in middle school, he would drug and rape his classmate, filming every crevice of her body and threatened to expose her if she spoke out against the rape. From then would go on to rape several more girls. He also evidently stalks women and takes pictures of their ponytails.
- He shows no remorse for destroying the lives of girls he raped, even taking pleasure in it. He gets a sense of power and control from seeing them as shells of their former selves. He even had no issue raping a lower-income class girl, knowing her parents wouldn't be able to afford a lawyer to speak against him.
- He manipulates the lonely Khairi by pretending to be his only friend and only uses him due to feeling superior to him and treats him like a slave, refusing to let him do anything he wants or hang out with anyone else. Later on, he uses him as a scapegoat for his rapes, causing every woman to avoid him.
- After his rape attempt on Hawa, he remains a Karma Houdini for a while and manipulates his lawyers into keeping him away from prison, while refusing to learn any lesson or remorse.
- When not putting on a nice façade he is a massive jerk.
- His gruesome torture at the hands of Adam, who is a serial killer, is played with pure satisfaction and is the one time the reader is meant to cheer for one of Adam's victims.
