Terry Cant is a minor antagonist in the British Soap Opera EastEnders, who is the estranged father of Sonia Fowler, grandfather of Bex and Julia Fowler and former partner of Carol Jackson.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Walked out on his family and left Sonia Fowler without a father. Carol Jackson also claims Terry was abusive and stole her belongings after Carol eneded their relationship
- Insulted, threatened and attacked Bianca Jackson leaving her with a bruise. Also showcased his misogyny by saying women like her need a slap to keep them in check.
- When Sonia rejected Terry's offer of a holiday he becomes extremely bitter and insults Bianca and Sonia mum, Carol. He also claimed walking about on his family was the right choice.
- A few moments later he demands the money back for the flights and states that he should have never met Sonia mum so Sonia would never have existed calling her a waste of oxygen.
Trivia[]
Ironically, the character that pretended to be Sonia's Father did a better job than Terry himself, that being Tom (Rocky) Cotton who pretended to be Sonia's father to scam her out of Dot Branning inheritance but later developed love and protection for her. Sonia even visited Tom in prison before she left requesting advice on whether to trust Terry or not labelling him as the closest person she had to a father after her stepdad, Alan Jackson left her family.
