Tetsuo Tamashiro is a major antagonist in Yakuza 3. He is the patriarch of the Tamashiro Family, and later an ally of Yoshitaka Mine, the main antagonist of the game, who wants to demolish the orphanage founded by Kazuma Kiryu to build a resort and save the Tojo Clan from bankruptcy.
He was voiced by the late Unshō Ishizuka.
What makes him hated[]
- He separates Shigeru Nakahara from his adoptive daughter, Saki by seducingher biological mother to attract her to him. He also intends to blackmail Nakahara to give him his land in exchange for Saki.
- After Kiryu defeats him, he mistreats her lover who wanted to form a family with him, slapping and insulting her.
- He helps Mine to destroy the Morning Glory Orphanage to avenge his defeat against Kiryu.
- When one of his men seems hesitant to hit Mikio, who was protecting a doghouse with his body, Tamashiro call his underling a coward and threatens to crush them both.
- He also forces Nakahara to kneel before him and steps his foot on his head.
- He kidnaps Nakahara and imprisons him in a bull arena, to kill him in a brutal fashion.
- After Kiryu defeats him again, he attempts to shoot him, killing Rikiya in the process, a fan-favorite, who sacrificed himself to protect from the bullet. Later he tries again to kill Kiryu, only to be headshotted by Joji Kazama.
- Lacks the redeeming qualities of Mine and Hamazaki, the Evil is Cool moments of Andre Richardson, and even the comedic moments of Kanda, and is portrayed as an absolute scumbag from the first moment he's introduced.
