The two unnamed drivers are the protagonist villains of the 2015 short film Ne Uporabljaj Telefona (which is Slovenian for "Don't Use Your Phone"), which urges the importance of road safety and not texting while driving.
They are a pair of friends who hang out and go out with each other from time to time, but in the short film, they talk to each other while texting and driving which ends up causing them to run over a mother who tried to stop her six-year-old son from running out onto the road.
They were portrayed by two real-life girls, who were not named.
What Makes Them Hate Sinks?[]
Both[]
- They casually texted and drove a car at the same time, showing absolutely no concern or regard about endangering any potential pedestrians or fellow drivers.
- They almost hit a 6 year-old boy who ran out into the road without looking both ways first, and when avoiding him, they killed his mother, who had to sacrifice her life to save her son, which ended up causing them to crash into a yellow car as a result, costing them hundreds of dollars worth of damage.
- They know that texting and driving is wrong and were taught about it by their parents or school, yet they still did it anyway, making them nothing but idiots.
- They are heavily cowardly, as they start out as calm and joyful when they use their phones even when they are meant to be concentrating on the road, but as soon as their lives are in danger due to their recklessness, they start panicking and even go as far as making a decision they will regret in the future.
- They are also depicted as gleefully wrongful rule-breakers with no restraint or self-control given they shamelessly used their phones and drove a car at the exact same time and the brown-haired girl keeps looking on her phone while her friend avoided the boy who didn't look both ways.
- They have no charisma, likable qualities or competence. It's also never established if their friendship is genuine or not as there aren't any clear signs they care about one another.
- While they seem shocked and even cry a bit after the collision, it's more out of fear that they'd be arrested rather than remorse for their misdeeds.
For the Blonde-Haired Girl Only[]
- She is even dumber than her friend as when she was avoiding the boy running into the road, she hit the mother with the car and ran her over, so her grand plan to save her own life turned out to be ridiculously bad in the long run. As a matter of fact, she could have warned her friend (who was driving) to hit the brakes rather than turning the steering wheel.
