The Tickler is a minor antagonist in the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series and its television adaptation Game of Thrones. He is a sadistic soldier that work for House Lannister under Gregor Clegane.
He was portrayed by Anthony Morris.
What Makes Him Hated?[]
- He tortures prisoners in Harrenhal, many of whom are very young and were sent to be recruited for the night watch.
- He interrogates the prisoners where the Brotherhood Without Banners is in order to destroy it.
- When the prisoners do not answer correctly, he traps rats in a bucket and orders the bucket to be heated, causing the rats to try to escape and pierce the victims stomach. Even the strongest prisoners did not survive the test.
- Even Tywin Lannister was appalled by the torture of the prisoners who could have been more useful in life.
- In the series even when one of the guys "helped him a lot" he still orders to kill him purely out of sadism.
- In the books he hunts Sandor Clegane to bring him to justice.
- His death by Jaqen H'ghar was very satisfying.
