Touko Kanbayashi is a major antagonist of the Hometown of the Dead Arc in the Zom 100: Bucket of the Dead series. She was a pompous and arrogant former municipal officer worker with a brash attitude, who eventually joined Kanta's group when the apocalypse broke out.

She was voiced by Manaka Iwami in the Japanese sub, and by Kate Clarke in the English dub.

What Makes Her a Hate Sink?

• Back in her workplace, she consistently blames everyone over the slightest inconvenience, while also blaming them for her problems instead of taking responsibility for it.
• Aided Kanta Higurashi in trying to turn people of a village into zombies and kill them.
• She attempted to stop Beatrix from destroying a waterwheel that is powering an electrical fence and attempted to kill her with a chainsaw.
• Even though Beatrix tried to reason with her, she refused her offer and continued to attack her.
• In the both the anime and manga, her death was played for satisfaction:
  • In the manga, as Beatrix hopped on a water wheel which broke off which she rode on, Touko was crushed to death along with other zombies, and while it's a gory way to go out, it's not played for sympathy.
  • Though she manages to avoid being crushed in the anime adaptation, she is instead devoured by zombies due to the chainsaw she used making too much noise that drawn them to her, which like the manga, her death isn't played for sympathy.

Trivia

• She is the only Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead Hate Sink so far to be female.
• She is the only member of Kanta Higurashi's group to be a Hate Sink, as Kanta has many sympathetic qualities and having a sympathetic death, with Naoki redeemed himself. While Shigenobu doesn't have enough detestable traits to be a Hate Sink.
