Troy is an original character who appears in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season Two, serving as the secondary antagonist of the first half of the second season. He is the right-hand man of Bill Carver and one of the guards of Howe's Hardware.
He is voiced by Owen Thomas.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Although there is no clear evidence, it is assumed by Nick that Carver instigated a mass-shooting of survivors (including Roman and Victor) on a riverbank near the group's cabin. If this is true, it is highly possible that Troy was one of the gunmen Carver had during the shooting since he is the right-hand man of Carver.
- He accompanied Carver to track the cabin group to the Moonstar Lodge and took all of them as hostages, then kidnapped them to their base, Howe's Hardware.
- Overall, he is heavily sadistic and enjoys abusing people, especially children, as can be seen in numerous scenes throughout the third episode.
- If Carver smacks Clementine in the woods, Troy will sadistically smirk at her, showing had enjoy when she got smacked.
- On Carver's orders, Troy tied Clementine and Sarah up and pointed his rifle at them to make them move.
- During the cabin group's imprisonment in Howe's Hardware, Troy forced all of them to work, threatened with killing them and abused them physically, psychologically and verbally.
- While Carver is forcing Carlos into hitting Sarah, he stated that if Carlos does not do that, Troy will do that overzealously, which Troy agrees. He will also be aggressive towards and walk into Clementine if she talked while Carver is talking, until the latter stopped Troy.
- Although he saved Clementine from a walker, this is only because Carver wants all of the prisoners alive and to force them work, as he continued to abusing her immediately after saving her.
- When he caught Clementine in the comic store, he threatened her with beating her up. And he also did that when he caught Clementine in there for the second time. He slapped her, gripped her neck and forced her to walk while threatening with killing her.
- While Carver brutally beats Kenny, Troy will hit Clementine with the butt of his assault rifle if she chooses to help Kenny, leaving a cut on her cheek. If Clementine does nothing, Sarita will be hit by Troy instead, and then he unnecessarily threatens them all with death.
- After Carver is killed by Kenny, Troy caught the cabin group while escaping and attempted to kill all of them (including Clementine, Sarah and Rebecca's baby), and he was about to do that if he was not stopped by Jane, who approached Troy seductively, started to sweet talk him, causing him to lower his gun and soften slightly. He was shot by Jane and left to be eaten by walkers.
- The reason why Troy did not approach Jane hostile is his desire to have sex with Jane, as she falsely promised him to get out of Howe's so Troy would help her to get out, which makes him a pragmatic.
- To drive the point of Troy being Hate Sink home, even his voice actor Owen Thomas stated that he deserved to die.
- He also stated that there were some cut scenes that would make Troy way worse, such as sexually harassing Jane, being homophobic, sexist and even more.
- There was also a long-time rumor that Troy was planned to molest Clementine in a cut scene, which is debunked by Owen Thomas himself.
