Ursula is the main antagonist of Liz Braswell's 2018 novel Part of Your World, a "what if …?" of the Disney classic The Little Mermaid in which one imagines what would have happened if Ariel had not been able to regain her voice and failing to marry Prince Eric.
What makes her a Hate Sink?[]
- Unlike the original Ursula, This One is taken dead seriously, darker, edgier, more cruel, lacking any of the comedic and redeeming traits and less likable than the original Ursula.
- She dethroned Triton like the original film.
- Unlike the original film that Ariel stopped her from Marrying Prince Eric, here in this alternate Timeline Ariel fails and Ursula ends up marrying him.
- She abuses her pets (Flotsam and Jetsam) and treats them like henchmen unlike her original counterpart.
- She plans to kill Triton for a ritual that The Elder gods to give her unlimited power.
- She managed to manipulate everyone in Atlantica thinking that Ariel let it happen despite not being true.
- She almost drew blood on the audiences for the Sirenette Ritual until she was killed by Eric.
