What makes him a Hate Sink?[]
- Even though he was initially presented himself to be kind and grandfatherly towards others, his true nature was foreshadowing when he excused himself somewhere after hearing when Spitfire praised Rainbow Dash for her flying skills and stated that she might be breaking his record.
- Tricking Spitfire into going missing by sending her a letter and pretending to be her mother Stormy Flare, telling her she had Pegasitis and the only cure is the ice iris in the Crystal Mountains so he could frame Rainbow Dash for his crimes to maintain his long-distance record. After Rarity found the evidence that he was the culprit, this caused himself to be proven it was true.
- Admitting that he used dirty tricks to break the record, which Rainbow and the Wonderbolts disagreed with.
- Due to his actions and crimes, Spitfire makes a good choice of discharging him from Wonderbolts for attempting to frame Rainbow Dash.
- Never cares for the Wonderbolts (including Rainbow Dash) and only cared about himself and his records.
- Even if Rainbow failed to prove her innocence and kept on refused to believe in Rarity, she would've been kicked out while Wind Rider would've won the case.
