Xaro Xhoan Daxos is a supporting antagonist in the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series and its television adaptation Game of Thrones. He is a member of the Thirteen, being a wealthy merchant prince from the great city-state of Qarth. The Thirteen are one of the upper classes of the city, which constantly contend with the Pureborn (the current rulers of Qarth), the Ancient Guild of Spicers, and the Tourmaline Brotherhood for control of the city.
He is portrayed by Nonso Anozie.
What makes him Hated?[]
- He was a very cruel man as he describes that he is not sorry for his actions.
- He does save Daenerys and her people but only to use them and he promised that they would not be able to leave Qarth alive.
- Organizes a coup that kills Daenerys' men, including Irry, while Piatt Frey steals Daenerys' three dragons.
- He causes Doria's betrayal after realizing that her friends are going to die.
- He takes control of Qarth while Fiat Frey slaughters the 11 council members, making him king of Qarth. As soon as he becomes king he abandons Daenerys and her people to their fate.
- After Daenerys manages to take him down she discovers that his vault is completely empty, even though he promised her riches if she married him.
- Even though he was left to starve in his cell, he deserved it for his actions.
