Yamato Totsuka is a minor antagonist in Yakuza :Like A Dragon. He's a yakuza who runs Sunlight Castle, a luxury retirement home for elderly people, who is a actually a death trap, in which people gets "euthanized" alive, as part of a pension scam scheme.
He was voiced by Binbin Takaoka in the Japanese dub, and by Patrick Seitz in the English Dub.
What makes him hated?[]
- Tricks many people into paying him large sums of money to maintain their parents in his retirement home, only to kill them and keep secret their deaths to scam the pension system. To make things worse, Ichiban has seen an elderly woman been injected alive and even heard her screaming
- Tries to kill Ichiban, Adachi and Nanba, after they save Saeko's father from been injected
- Shows no loyalty to his boss, Ryuhei Hoshino, hiding his affairs from him
- Although it's not explored much, it's stated he was responsible for Seiryu Clan's captain Mamoru Takabe's loss of both his pinky fingers
- After it's revealed that the cold war between the Three Ijin was a farce, he goes on a hunt against Ichiban Kasuga
- Tries to extort intel from Hamako, an old woman and a friend of Ichiban, hitting her repeatedly and threating to kill with an hammer. He even says that he missed hitting women for a long time.
- Tries again to kill Ichiban, only to be curb-stompted on battle
- Overall has no redeeming qualities, or Evil is Cool qualities, being portrayed as a Smug Snake who only targets people who can't defend themselves, and acts as a coward when his good reputation is threatened
